Does Keritan Complex NKST have any formaldehyde or methylene glycol? If it is not used specifically, does the heat of flat ironing process release formaldehyde from other chemicals used into the air? Thank you.
Hi Sandy, Our NKST does not contain formaldehyde or Methylene Glycol. Once heat is applied, it is possible for an aldehyde gas to be emitted. Is keratin complex safe during pregnancy
Hi Lindsay, While Keratin Complex has not received any reports of its in-salon service products causing changes in pregnancy, we acknowledge our service products are considered chemical. As a manufacturer, we are confident in the safety standards of our products, but as with anything chemical or artificial, a woman who is pregnant or nursing should seek the advice of her physician. Is this safe for color treated hair? Or bleached hair? I know there is a blonde treatment but if I have this one, could I use it?
Yes, all our treatments are safe for color treated hair.
Is it possible to purchase the keratin Treatment without the shampoo & kit as I already have that? Also what size is the actual keratin treatment? Thank you.
Hi Soledad, We only offer our treatments with all the products needed to successfully complete each treatment. The duos were designed to be certain that you have enough KCPRIMER to last the life of the bottle of treatment. Typically you are washing at least 2 times with the KCPRIMER which uses about an ounce of KCPRIMER. Therefore, you should be close to empty when you are ready to reorder treatment. However, if you find you do have excess of KCPRIMER, it is a great mild de-mineralizing shampoo prior to color for your clients that have hard water or swim a lot as it is very gentle and doesn’t strip color. You could utilize it as an add-on “hair detox” service for a fresh clean slate on the hair. We offer our KCEXPRESS in 4 oz. 16 oz. and 33.8 oz.
How many applications will I get out of the 4oz kit of the NKST treatment?
You should be able to get at least 2 applications out of our 4 oz NKST. We recommend using no more than 1.5 oz per guest. Although, you can use more if there is an overabundance of hair. You want to make sure you are not oversaturating.
